What is Restorative Dentistry?

Restorative dentistry is a specialized branch of dental care that focuses on restoring the health, functionality, and aesthetics of your teeth. It involves diagnosing, preventing, and treating oral diseases and disorders. Whether you have a chipped tooth, severe tooth decay, or have lost teeth due to injury or disease, restorative dentistry provides comprehensive solutions. At Dentazure, under the expert guidance of Dr. Rima Kanbaragha, we provide a range of restorative dental treatments tailored to meet your unique needs. Our goal is to help you regain your confident smile and maintain your oral health.

The Restorative Dentistry Treatment Process

Restorative dentistry involves a thorough evaluation of your dental condition, followed by the implementation of a customized treatment plan. The process is designed to be comfortable and efficient, ensuring the restoration of your oral health and smile.

Comprehensive Dental Examination

The first step in restorative dentistry is a comprehensive dental examination. Dr. Kanbaragha will conduct a thorough assessment of your oral health, which includes a visual examination, dental x-rays, and possibly a CT scan. This helps us understand the extent of the damage and the type of restorative treatment required. We will also discuss your dental history, lifestyle, and oral hygiene habits to provide a treatment plan that’s most suitable for you.

Personalized Treatment Planning

Based on the results of your dental examination, our Arlington dentist will create a personalized treatment plan. This plan will outline the recommended restorative procedures, their sequence, and duration. We ensure to explain each procedure, its benefits, and potential risks, so that you can make an informed decision about your oral health.

Implementation of the Treatment Plan

The final step is the implementation of your treatment plan. Depending on your specific needs, this could involve dental fillings, root canal therapy, crowns, bridges, or dentures. At Dentazure, we use state-of-the-art technology and techniques to ensure each procedure is carried out with precision and care.

Our Restorative Dental Treatments

Dental Fillings (Composite)

Composite dental fillings are a popular choice for restoring decayed or damaged teeth. They are made from a tooth-colored material that blends seamlessly with your natural teeth, providing a discreet solution. Composite fillings are durable and provide good resistance to fracture in small-to-mid size restorations that need to withstand moderate chewing pressure.

Root Canal Therapy (Anterior and Posterior)

Root canal therapy is a procedure used to treat teeth that are severely decayed or infected. The process involves removing the damaged area of the tooth (the pulp), cleaning and disinfecting it, and then filling and sealing it. The common causes affecting the pulp are a cracked tooth, a deep cavity, repeated dental treatment to the tooth, or trauma.

Dental Crowns

Dental crowns, also known as caps, are a restorative treatment used to cover, strengthen, and protect damaged teeth. They are custom-made to fit over the entire tooth, from the gum line up. Crowns can be made from various materials, but at Dentazure, we offer lab-made crowns that provide a natural appearance and long-lasting durability.

Bridges

Dental bridges are used to replace one or more missing teeth by literally bridging the gap between two teeth. A bridge is made up of two or more crowns for the teeth on either side of the gap and a false tooth/teeth in between. These false teeth, called pontics, can be made from gold, alloys, porcelain, or a combination of these materials and are supported by natural teeth or implants. At Dentazure, we create custom-made bridges that blend seamlessly with your natural teeth, restoring both function and appearance.

Dentures (Partials and Full Dentures)

Dentures are removable replacements for missing teeth and surrounding tissues. There are two types of dentures available: complete and partial. Complete dentures are used when all the teeth are missing, while partial dentures are used when some natural teeth remain. Partial dentures not only fill in the spaces created by missing teeth but also prevent other teeth from shifting. At Dentazure, we provide both types, ensuring they fit comfortably and look natural, allowing you to speak, eat, and smile with confidence.
